i despise how Penangites boast about how their food is the greatest. just because your state is accessible by road doesn't mean you have to overlook the obvious awesomeness of Sarawakian cuisine. it is stone cold fact that many West Malaysians have a certain fancy for Sarawakian cuisine even if they're a little bit thrown off by the "yellow-ness" and "pale-ness" of the kolo mee.

Day 306: Look what i found in the store room [23/05/11]

i'm pretty sure the EOS 500N has a broken rear shutter, and i'm hoping to get that fixed. other than the broken shutter (and possibly a broken flash, too), the camera seems to be okay. on the other hand, there's the EOS 1000 FN which i've totally no idea what's broken because it costs RM40 for batteries which i wasn't really keen to shell out just to see if the camera could operate. maybe i'll change my mind soon and get those 2CR5 batteries, or i could just bring it to the camera store to get it checked out. there actually was a compact Yashica camera along with these two SLRs, and at least the shutter works well, or so it seems. old cameras are wonderful, but you never know what may have transpired throughout it's lifetime.

it's such a joy to discover treasures such as these lying around unused. best of all, my current EF lenses are compatible with these cameras.
