my cousin and his girlfriend dropped by so we brought them around town. i just realized how useless of a tour guide i am, and if i ever had a foreign friend drop by in Malaysia and wanted a little tour around town, i'd have absolutely no idea where to bring them. guess that's another thing i'm not good at doing, asides estimating measurements and going out on dates.

didn't do much with the guys but sat around in Chew's house, just chatting and eating home-made sweets. i actually enjoyed doing this.

it'd been weeks since i met up with Pedram. it felt like a long time since the three of us got together, just us guys driving around likes kids doing kiddy stuff. like screaming out of Pedram's moving car in the dead of the night in a residential area, or climbing up some hill to catch a view of the fireworks across the entire Klang valley during New Year's Eve, or just chilling in McD's talking about why the camera isn't able to capture the reds as how our eyes perceive them.

do dogs get lonely? i wonder how did Kenan feel when Max died in the kitchen six years ago. i think about how Kenan always sticks around near the kitchen late at night, just lying down there in the dark. maybe he's waiting for his brother to come out of the kitchen - explains why he's always sneaking into the kitchen looking for something.

i've been getting very poor responses (read: none) to my 365 project, and i know how very mundane my photos have been over the past few weeks. i can't even seem to impress myself, let alone anyone else, up to the point where i hit a wall when it came to Day 140's entry - pacing back and forth from my room to the living room, staring at the bookshelves and the Christmas tree, and plowing through the Project 365 group on Flickr - of which none gave me anything usable, until i settled for something mundane, yet again. i'm not being lazy, it's just probably me having less things around the house to photograph.

this week, i decided to try "The poor man's Hipstamatic" theme, where i take photos using my Sony Ericsson K750i's camera and throw filters on them using Lightroom!

i've been on an anti-social binge lately and a night out with good friends is the best cure, although i'm not sure if it's the others who are caught up with life or me still being the same me from a year ago.

okay, this definitely wasn't taken with my cellphone. this was my last day of November and i didn't have November's photo yet and my cellphone doesn't exactly stand on its own to take self shots.
Day 133: October all over [01/12/10]
i have played with Hipstamatic and it's a really, really, really fun app to play with. i have no beef with the Hipstamatic, it's just that i can't afford to own an iPhone with its shady and absurd plans. so for now, i'll stick with my four year-old cellphone and wait for it to make or receive its last text message/call.
which might not happen for a while.
