of course, what visit to Brisbane would be complete without a drive down to Surfer's Paradise, Gold Coast? this place is indeed the Miami of the southern hemisphere, and this place oozes youth, excitement, fun, and definitely a lot of hedonism! the sun the up, the weather is warm and feels nice on the skin, the view is excellent, and the people! just make sure you don't stare at them too long, or the coast guard will take your memory card away.

however, if you're shooting film, that'll be a different story!

after nearly two weeks of driving from south Australia, all the way to the warmer north eastern state of Queensland, we finally reached Brisbane - the last stop of this amazing roadtrip. we spent some days in Brisbane, mostly in the city, anticipating the wedding we made this entire trip for. Brisbane feels a lot like a more toned down version of Melbourne, albeit still brimming with life and activity. Brisbane was the perfect bookend for us - not too busy, yet busy enough to keep us excited. this entire roadtrip has been a tremendous and amazing adventure, not only for me, but for my entire family. months on, after the trip, i only feel the desire and enthusiasm to travel and see more places. perhaps in 2013, the opportunity to travel more will arise. i can only hope that i will not eat my words.
