this weekend trip to Fraser's Hill was highly anticipated, at least by yours truly because i was dying for a little getaway. having been here three years ago, we vowed to make a second trip, but it never materialized for about a year or so. it seemed like the trip almost didn't happen because we couldn't get the guesthouse we previously stayed in, but in the end we buckled down and took the pricier resort and it was one of the best choices we've ever made because for once we had a wonderful and glorious view. and to top it off, the management somehow gave us a three bedroom apartment instead of the two bedroom apartment i ordered. not sure if it was a mistake on their part, but more room for the four of us! even though it was only the four of us, it was relatively the easiest trip we managed, with only one car going up. and with everyone being photography enthusiasts, it didn't really matter if we took our time taking pictures - speaking for myself, it was a rather laid back trip.

i suppose i simply wanted to go on some kind of vacation, having not being able to follow the guys to Cambodia and the Cameron Highlands trip failing to materialize. it felt satisfying to be able to make a long drive out of the city to somewhere else far away, even if it was only for the weekend.
