the best thing about disposable cameras is how one only needs to consider one thing before taking a photograph - is well lit enough that i don't need to use the flash? the practicality of such cameras is made all the more rewarding by the fact that the pictures come out better than i had expected. perhaps this is due to my usage of expired films for past five or so rolls that i had forgotten how freshly made films turn out. where there is colour, the colours are saturated beautifully. pictures come out sharp despite the plastic lens, unlike the lomography line of cameras. and for an ISO400 film, the grain is hardly noticeable. had i known that these make for great photographs, i'd have picked up some more in my last trip to Tokyo. at less than 1000yen a pop, it's a great novelty camera. it's too bad they go for triple the price on ebay. i won't be holding my breath for those.

  1. Hi there! I found your blog about this camera by Google (obviously) because I'm trying to figure out how to unload the film, and is it possible to reload a new one? Because I just bought one online. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

    1. hello Hamizah!

thank you for your message! unfortunately my knowledge on disposable cameras are probably as much as yours (probably less!). i've never attempted to use my disposable camera more than once, and developed the film by taking the entire camera straight to the photolab where they disassembled the camera for me. i believe you can pry the film out of the camera by disassembling the camera with a knife (i Googled that too, so you've most likely seen some steps on how that's done, i guess).

to my knowledge, these cameras are one-use only, so reloading a new film may require some tinkering and a certain amount of duct tape. perhaps you've seen this tip on this Lomography page, (https://www.lomography.com/magazine/248878-the-complete-guide-to-reloading-disposable-cameras), though in all honesty i wouldn't recommend reloading and reusing a disposable camera, despite how awesome it might sound. real sorry i'm not able to answer your queries! i hope you had fun with your disposable camera, though!

    2. Hi! Thanks for the reply! Awh that's alright. I guess I'll just take to the photolab as well. Thanks for the link as well!
